Our Technology

Optical Coherence Tomography - the latest eye health technology
OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY --
This instrument scans the optic nerve and macula of the eyes.  It is the most current eye instrumentation available and allows us to better manage ocular disease, like age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and many others.  It detects the subclinical forms of these disease processes so we can manage your condition at its earliest stages.
This instrument, called the RTVue, is an ultra-high speed, high resolution optical coherence tomographer scanner used for retina and optic nerve imaging and analysis. It is based on the next generation Fourier-Domain Optical Coherence technology just emerging from clinical research in recent years.
VISUAL FIELD ANALYSIS --
Our Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer II is used to detect loss of retinal function as glaucoma progresses.  It accurately plots your peripheral vision to aid us in making a clinical decision in such diseases like glaucoma, Plaquenil toxicity, pituitary tumors, and even strokes.
It is important to be aware of this advanced technology as nearly 50% of individuals with glaucoma are not aware that they have the disease. Diagnosing glaucoma takes more than testing eye pressure. A glaucoma screening is included as a part of every comprehensive eye exam performed at Complete Vision Care. For those found to be at risk, additional testing using the advanced technology mentioned above is recommended.
RETINAL CAMERA --

Our retinal camera has the ability to take a photo of your retina in great clarity.  This allows us to visualize disease processes that may occur to the retina and optic nerve earlier.  With this technology, we can better manage glaucoma, macular degeneration, eye freckles, and much more.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.
PACHYMETRY --
This machine allows us to determine the thickness of a cornea in microns.  This measurement is important for proper management of your eye pressures, if you are consiering LAKIK or PRK , and if you have a corneal degeneration that may lead to swelling of your cornea.
CORNEAL MAPPING --
With our corneal topography, we can manage and treat corneal irregularities better.  We can detect such degenerative processes like keratoconus and pellucid marginal degeneration earlier.  This also allows us to map your cornea so we can fit certain contact lenses on the eye properly.
